Dish soap works! I had a new expensive 100% cotton dress and got salad oil on it. I tried plain water that didn't help, Tide-to-go instant stain remover stick which made it much worse, and then gave up until I read about dish soap. I put it on the spot, let it sit for about 30 minutes, and then washed the spot by hand. Can't even see it anymore! :-)
