Well I hope you've painted by now and feel happy with it. But if you haven't, I would suggest a soothing color, that's conducive to sleep. Usually light blues, lavenders, grays, taupes or creams. Try to stay simple, so you don't have to change your bedding & drapes too often. May want to try using bamboo shades on your windows to avoid a color problem there.

I have never heard of that about the color pink.  The darker the color the harder it will be to paint over in the future.  I suggest a lighter color.  Maybe your favorite color or a shade of it.  Some thing that makes you happy.  Also it depends on if you are a boy or a girl.  Have fun painting!

I would go with a neutral color. This way if you decide to change your drapes or bedding it will still match or blend and you will not have to repaint again. Some neutral colors may be a light brown, white off white, light gray, etc.

For any type of bedroom you should choose the color that gives a soft look to your bedroom. Your wall color should match with the furniture. Green color is one of the best colors for bedrooms, as it has elements of both warm and cool.
