Depends on whether you're talking battery powered or electric cord type. I have a battery powered mower and it's the best mower I've ever had and does everything a gas mower will do. My next door neighbor has the cord type and his lawn looks nice too. Either will cut cleanly and vacuum up the trimmings. No gas to mess with and easy to use. That's what mowers do.
