Vinegar and water is an excellent nutrilizer, then air out, stand it up against wall make sure air circulates around. There are also some good cleaning products on market, one I like to get rid of odour is febreeze, I've tried the no name brands as well, some are pretty good. If odour persist after washing, baking soda sprinkled will help a lot as well
