There are many things you can do to make a bedroom perfect for a young girl. Girls have very different interests to one another so it's important to decorate a bedroom suited to the tastes of that young girl.

- Colour and Wall Art

One of the most important things to consider when decorating a girly room is what colour you're going to use. It is the first thing that stands out and it sets the tone of the whole room. Traditional girly colours are pinks and light pastel colours like a powder violet. You could use a mixture of pastel colours to create a pleasant contrast. In addition, wall art is a nice way of making a room more girly, so you could paint on butterflies, flowers or even princess castles and fairies. For older girls, you could consider being more specific in their interests or focus on wall art portraying fashion.

- Choose the Right Furniture

Furniture can epitomise a girly bedroom, especially if it is done in the right way. Bedding is important, so consider using pastel colours and make sure they match with the colour scheme of the whole room. In addition, make sure you have plenty of pillows and cushions to create that cosy atmosphere. Moreover, flowing curtains are perfect for a girly bedroom. Make sure they are floor length and preferably of a sheer material because it will look very feminine. Also, make sure the furniture is soft and has curved lines to create a sense of elegance.

- Lighting

It is important not to have harsh lighting in a girly bedroom so you can either cover your ceiling light with a colourful lamp shade or use lamps for your room that create dim lighting which will be very girly and cosy.

Paint the walls pink. Pink comes in a variety of shades — from hot pink to bubblegum pink — so choose a shade that reflects your personality. If you can’t decide between bright pink or muted pink, you can always mix and match.

Get a few pieces of girly furniture. Certain pieces of furniture are must-haves for any girly girl’s bedroom. For a classic girly look, white furniture works best; it’s versatile and it complements all shades of pink. Furniture in a natural wood finish will also do. Examples of classic girly furniture include:
  • A corner dressing table design with mirror and chair.
  • A cute dresser. Your dresser can have ornate detailing or simple, clean lines — whichever you prefer.
  • A chaise lounge, if you have the space.

Decorate with girly accessories. Select white or pink accessories that coordinate with a classic girly theme. Classic girly accessories include:

  • Frilly or ruffled bedding. A pink bedspread is an important design element for a classic girly look. A matching ruffled or frilly bed skirt and pillow shams will further accentuate a classic girly theme.
  • Throw pillows. Nothing says girly like a lot of throw pillows. Silky, cushy throw pillows in assorted shades of pink are particularly girly.
  • Rugs. Choose one large rug in a shade that goes well with your bedding. If you prefer, choose two matching rugs — one can be placed at the end of your bed, while the other can be placed under the chair of your vanity or near your bedroom door.
  • Wall hangings. Hang photos of you and your family or friends in feminine frames. Other types of wall hangings that would look great in a classic girly bedroom include sculptural pieces or posters with flower motifs.
  • Lamps. Table lamps with ruffled shades in pink hues add girly detail.
  • window Curtain designs. Soft, pretty curtains in sheer material adds a classic girly touch.
  • Stuffed animals. Arrange them on your bed or place them on your vanity.

One word: Cute!!! Think 'cute'. Fluffy, pink, adorable stuff. Anything that appeals to you, after all it's your room.

This depends on the age of the person who uses the bedroom. The above answers are all excellent for young girls.

Older girls and mature women may prefer a more practical approach that also reinforces their feminity.

My wife, for example, has a walk-in wardrobe that shows off her wide range of clothes and shoes. It has become her own personal space. Think Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. Here's an example of what I mean: http://www.sharps.co.uk/bedroom-furniture/walk-in-wardrobes/

Other examples include vanity cupboards (similar to walk-in wardrobes but with an emphasis on makeup and grooming).

Well it doesn't simply depend on getting an assembled bedroom furniture. It does take time to come up with the final decision but the main thing is having fun in making your bedroom beautiful and curly. You can first try setting up cute and girly decorations and it even extends to wall art if you want to have one.

I have a girly bedroom, but I don't like pink color. I have a beautiful blue bedroom. I made a board with memories, pasted photos, posters, clippings from magazines. It's cute. I also have many decorative pillows, they are comfortable to lie on and sit on the floor. I also have a gentle bed linen, beautiful bedspread. Now I'm going to change the veil, I looked at the different summer sets here comfortersetreviews.com/best-comforter-for-summer . I liked the printed set, it's with flowers, but it's very nice and cozy.  I think that the main thing in the bedroom is that you like all the things.

Make your room PINK or PURPLE. Them make all of the furniture the same colour. Get some artwork or paint your own and hang it up. Have a beanbag and a coffee table next to it with magazines, a lamp or flowers. Make cute little beads and hang them off the end of your lamp or table. Make your room yours and a great hangout spot.

If you wish to make you bedroom girly, you need to start with going to the bedroom essential store, Victoria Secret, there you will find numerous bed settings done in a lot of pink and other girly colours. Also, you can pick up a few sheets, pillows, wall clocks and curtains from VS. Get a new bed if you can, there are a number of custom made girly bed in very cute designs. Get a few pink pillows. A pink fluffy rug could be a nice tinge. Let the furniture be white and curtains a combination of pink and white. You can use cute plastic bins to put your magazines and other stuff. Some flowers will also give it a girly feel.

You can paint your room pink or have pink accessories. If you do not like pink you can always find a pattern that has flowers or other pretty colours. You can add beads, a fuzzy rug, flowers etc.
