Sags that appear in your roof can have multiple causes. However, the one common cause for the sag in a roof is a cracked or broken truss. The trusses are the structural support for your roof. When these fail you will see a sag or depression in your roof line. To correct this problem, you will need to fix or repair the damaged truss. This will require using a metal support.

You will need the following equipment: Angle iron, power drill, reciprocating saw, two-inch lag bolts, socket wrench, carriage bolts, washers and nuts.

Firstly, drill four holes along the bottom and side of the angle iron by using the power drill. Offset the holes on the bottom from those on the side. You will have four holes on each side of the angle iron for a total of eight holes.

Next remove any loose material from the roof truss with the reciprocating saw. Position the angle iron over the crack of split in the truss. Drill two pilot holes through the two holes on one end of the angle iron. Insert the lag bolts into the holes and tighten them with the socket wrench.

Then drill two pilot holes through the two side holes on the same side of the angle iron. Insert carriage bolts into the holes. Place a washer and nut on the end of the carriage bolts. Tighten the bolts with the socket wrench. Drill two pilot holes through the bottom two holes on the opposite end of the angle iron. Insert lag bolts into the holes that are 1.5 to two inches longer than the gap between the angle iron and the bottom of the truss. Tighten with lag bolts with the socket wrench to lift the truss back into place.

Finally, drill two pilot holes through the two holes on the side of the angle iron. Insert a carriage bolts into the holes. Place a washer and nut on the end of the carriage bolts. Tighten the bolts with the socket wrench.

It is easy to repair the roof if you're facing any problem in that. You've to prepare some good material i.e. Cement for the roof and after you've applied cement on your roof the roof will not be sagging any more. You can see the following link for a better understanding:  www.roofhelp.com
