IT sounds like to me that one of them just don't like the way that your partner smells. Also I don't know if you know or not but they can hold grudges against you and they do get jealous. I would seriously suggest spending quality time with both your cats one on one and after awhile this should stop. Resolve has this great pet and Oder for urine stains and it is AWESOME I have used it because of my cat when we first moved to our apt. But now I use it on a lot of other stains as well. It gets both the stain and smell out.
There could be a number of reasons why your cat is urinating in the house. If you have bought it from a breeder who used a particular type of litter box, it may be used to it. You need to find out what type of litter box your cat was familiar with; may be this is why it is not using the tray for urinating as it cannot understand what is required of it owing to this change. Secondly, you need to train it for this.
You should not give your cat complete access of your house; confined it to a particular area where you keep it most of the time. Keep the other rooms closed. Moreover, also see if the kind of litter box you are using is appropriate. Use a litter box which is a bit cover or has higher walls since cats like to hide and urinate.
To stop your cat from peeing everywhere, have your vet check it. There might be some health issues involved. You can even retrain your cat, relocate the litter box, and keep it clean for it and even you can place the food dish where it pees as cat's don't like their eating place dirty.
Here is what you need to do, when you see one of them urinating make them site in the liter box for 1-2 mins. After some time this makes them think that when they pee they go and wait in the liter box, soon something will go off in their heads and first they go to the box, when they urinate just anywhere it 80% of the time is because they are to lazy to go by the box. (to get out the urine smell is easy just go to a store like petco or sams club and any brand name product will just about do it)
Umm...the poor cat is probably still in a lot of pain. When they declaw a cat they don't just remove the claws, they cut off his toes up to the first knuckle. It's extremely painful and it could be that he has an infection that the cat litter is irritating. Cats usually hide when they're in pain so maybe you should take him to the vet to see if there were complications to the surgery or he still needs some pain medications.
Well keep her out of all the rooms in-case shes going when you don't realize it. Stay with her for a little bit each day and then put her in the litter box everyday and she will get use to it!
My cat will pee in his litter box but will poop on my rugs. He is neutered. He usually does this when no one is around . He gets plenty of affection. Oh yes the stools are dry. He eats and drinks ok but I've noticed he is not going to the bathroom as often either. I don't no why he started not pooping in his litter box.
Try changing his cat litter non clumping stuff so it doesnt cause infection to his healing paws and make sure hes not chewing on his paws their still sore so he will do everything to get the pain to go away. My cat was neutered and de clawed not to long ago he was a playful little brat but after words he calmed down and isn't as playful so I figured he felt that he wasnt strong enough to fight for himself.
Your cat may be doing this because this is how they mark their territory my 1 month old kitten pees and poops everywhere and only sometimes uses the litter box when we are home she peed right on my feet when I was sleeping can you believe it
People like you should be used as prime examples of why you don't deserve the right to freedome of speach. Its also people like you who give misconceptions of what's right and wrong. We should pray for you that God forgive you for your suggestion of sins to such innocent defenseless animals and to whom ever else you have left, hurt, suggested be take way off or taken off because I'm sure he isn't going to listen to you. You should be ashamed but from reading what you wrote, you have no compashion and are probably laughing at the reaction you are getting from this. Again we will pray.
Dear Justjaeda, no matter how much you clean your cats' dirt, the problem will never end. Cats seems to be very stubborn. The best way to get rid of that unnecessary cleaning job of yours is to get rid of your pests...I mean your pets, if you have the heat to do that. If you wish to get rid of them, please bring them to a very far place where they have no way of knowing their way back, or else you'll deal with the same problem again.
