It takes about 430 years for a plastic bottle to decompose so I would say around that (350-500 years)

A plastic bag takes more than a 1000 years to decompose in the ground. Thus, they are considered as the longest lasting form of trash material. Plastic pollution is one of the main causes of pollution, that is caused mostly by plastic bags.

It depends on the type of plastic whether it is petroleum based plastic or plant based plastic. It also depends on the amount of air and sunlight that gets to the plastic bag... In the right conditions the plastic could potentially last forever....some companies are designing the bags to fall apart because of the landfills... And some recycling centers are spraying trash with specialized chemicals to help bio degrade the trash... Hope this helps.

It should take less time than the bottle, because a plastic bag material is thinner and the mass of the bag is less than the plastic bottle.
