CAUTION: IF YOUR HEATER IS UNDER WARRANTY, DO NOT WORK ON IT YOUR SELF OR THE WARRANTY WILL BE VOID!!
On the Sun Twin heater only, Model: 1500 Elite.
On the back of the unit there is a warranty sticker with the service web-address being edenpure service.com.
Before working on the unit, to trouble shoot the problem, take a thermometer and see if the temperature reaches 200 degrees Fahrenheit. If it does not, say maybe 120 degrees, then more than likely, a bulb is burnt out. Also, could be a problem with the electronic thermostat, especially if the unit runs for a while and then shuts off or if it will not turn on at all, then the computerized operator board may be bad.
To change the bulbs”
1. Carefully flip the unit over (wheels on top) and remove 5 screws from the bottom, three at front and two toward the back.
2. Flip unit back over (not necessary but I did) and very carefully push on the top and middle of the front panel with the computerized operating board and the unit should slide out. May have to wiggle it a little, may even loosen the two screws on the back that are recessed 6” deep in the plastic panel (these two screws do not keep the unit from sliding out but some how loosening them helped mine to slid out).
3. There are five bulbs , two in the bottom holes and one in the top hole that can be viewed from the side.
4. If one of these bulbs is not working, then two of them will not work because they are on the same circuit.
On other heaters like this, you remove the screws from the bottom and then the sides and top come off.
