Most citrus grows well in a soil pH range from 6 to 8. Avoid soils that have a high caliche content or are excessively salty, as citrus trees will not grow well in such soils.

All citrus trees need deep soil having both excellent surface and inner drainage system. The presence of strong, healthy trees is a good sign that the soil is satisfactorily deep and well-drained for citrus trees. Most citrus develops healthy in a soil pH range from 6 - 8. Avoid soils that have high caliche substance or are extremely salty, as citrus trees will not develop in such soils.
