I don't know what the main 5 are but I hope this will help:

• Excellent resistance to Mineral Oils
• Good resistance to Dilute Acids, Aldehydes and Aliphatic Hydrocarbons
• Limited resistance to Bases
• Poor resistance
• Poor resistance with Concentrated Acids, Alcohols, Esters, Aromatic and Halogenated Hydrocarbons, Ketones, Vegetable Oils and Oxidizing Agents.
• Acrylic has a high degree of transparency. It is resistant to inorganic acids and alkalis but is attacked by a wide range of organic solvents.
• Machineable and heat-bendable
• Dries quickly
• Attractive
• Tough
• Durable
• Soft enough to work with standard hand and machine tools
• Reasonably priced
• Widely available.
• It can be scratched easily.

The term acrylic refers to various things and some of them are following: chemical compounds that have acrylic group that are derived from acrylic acid; acrylic fibre; acrylic paint and polymethyl methacrylate.

The acrylic fibre has various properties and the prime among them are that they are lightweight; they are warm giving the impression of wool and they are very soft. There are some other properties also that can be attributed to the acrylic fibre like when you colour them the dyes stick to it very well exhibiting an excellent colour. One other property that makes it the favourite of the people is that it is resilient and retains its shape and also resists shrinkage and wrinkles. You will find some other properties also like resistance to moths, oils and chemicals and that the quality doesn't decline when exposed to colour.
