So I killed my oven! Yes you all can laugh. The last thing my oven could take of Yin's cooking was Jr.'s birthday cake before it went to the big oven in the sky. What kind of dishes do you like to make on the stove, broiler or the crock pot?

Dear Y&Y,

Well I DO consider myself something of a tapioca expert...my friend Dianne in Iowa recovered from pancreatic cancer okay, six years clear now, but the chemo left her permanently unable to eat properly!

So she got down to 78 lb. (that's 5.6 stone to the Brits) and she is my height, 5'6"...before we started collaborating on her nutrition, and tapioca pudding was one food she could tolerate that was reasonably healthful.

You can make lots of interesting variations, bananas, blueberries, etc...well all told she gained ten pounds in six months...felt good...and no longer had episodes of fainting weakness, unable to get up.

* * *

So I can make tapioca pudding for you!

My dear Yin,

My dear (what's the politically correct term for inept?) cooking friend,

I'll be  "Happy2EmailYou" recipes.  I have some foolproof techniques we use when camping.

But first, allow me to laugh my buns off!!!

😂😅😆😅😂

We were looking to buy a house last year when we were doing good (eye rolls) and we walked into a house where the realtor laughed her face off..... because Yin walked into the kitchen and said "I am HOME!!!!" as I hugged the area of the kitchen....... it had NO stove but a huge microwave! LOLOLOLOLOL!

Well, sweet, the old oven just couldn't take it anymore? I see.....If your family values the rest of your kitchen maybe they should encourage you to stay away from that kitchen.

My first thought after I had a little moment of silence for your deceased oven (RIP Oven), was that it would be best if you didn't put dishes on your stovetop, in your broiler, or your crock pot. Dishes don't taste very good....  ;)

Have you thought about getting an electric skillet?  I like to make all sorts of things that would normally be made on a stove top in one of those.  Crockpots are nice too.  How about a toaster oven?  They make all sorts of counter top ovens that have large capacity .. You don't have to heat up your entire oven in them and you can broil and bake.  I love my stove and oven and use them all the time.  We had an electric stove in our last home.  One time, the oven element just burst into flames and the entire oven become a fireball!!!  Luckily, it was contained inside of it .. But was still horrible!!

My oven will probably outlive me ! I hardly ever use it. I use my gas grill BBQ to cook just about everything. Winter or Summer !

I hardly ever use my oven! I either use my grill, or the George Foreman grill, or my crock pot. One thanksgiving since it was just my husband and me I cooked a turkey breast in there. Yesterday we had BBQ ribs. Jut throw some ribs in with some BBQ sauce and let them simmer on high for 4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours. I also add sauerkraut. The BBQ sauce takes out the tartness and since we use honey BBQ sauce the sauerkraut cuts the sweetness.  Supercook.com has a ton of recipes too. Just use the word crockpot in the search.
