Which public places should handrail for disabled be placed?

Handrails on stairways and ramps. Anywhere there's a place to step down. (I don't qualify for "disabled" but, like lots of geezers and geezeresses, I've lost my balance and fall easily and often. Handrails are appreciated.

Hmm, just an afterthought. I wonder if we could attach handrails to the heads of kids? They have so much energy that when they go blasting by the can put me into a spin. :(
