It's certainly possible, but you're unlikely to be able to achieve the same level of quality as luxury designers, and you'd need to have a good level of knowledge of interior design concepts like the use of space and how to select well-matched colour schemes.

It will also depend on the nature of your refurbishment. If you're just hoping to redecorate an existing space by making changes to furniture, flooring, lighting, and decorations, then you should be able to achieve this yourself. If you're looking to make structural changes to room layouts, then you'll likely need to consult specialists before going ahead with any plans.

There are a lot of reasons why you might need to hire an interior designer. When it comes to renovating a space, there are a lot of things to think about and it is easy to forget about certain aspects of the design. It is an interior designers job to see the bigger picture, as well as to make sure that all the designs are coherent with one another and you don't forget about crucial elements.

It's more difficult than you think to create interior designs that work well as there is a lot to consider, like colours, textures, fixtures and fittings. A good interior designer will be able to make sure all of the colours are well coordinated. I employed an interior designer in Kent after I tried to design my home myself but just didn't feel that the designs I had chosen were well developed.

I have done quite well without one. In fact on the last three houses I have sold my realtors comment how easy they will sell because of my color and style choices.

Why not? Surely, there are a lot of different approaches to the design itself. But such assistants are ready to do the work for you and instead of you. That is why I like to use it when moving or decorating my home.
