I sat in gum with my jeans and it was all smudged in them. I had them in a suit case for like 2 weeks because I was going to try and find something to clean them and they were a 200 dollar pair of jeans and I heard about vinegar but didnt think it would work because how smudged in it was and they had been sitting for 2 weeks. I heated up the vinegar in the microwave for 30 seconds and poured it on the spots and left it for almost a minute then I scrubbed with a toothbrush and it just came off! Just make sure you saturate the spots with the vinegar.

I tried everything and this finally worked
you heat up some apple cider vinegar in the microwave for about 30 seconds
then with a tooth brush rub it on the area with the gum and it will come off right away:)
good luck

I had to do a science project about the best way to remove gum off your pants. So I decided to look it up and I found that hot vinegar, boiling water,or freezing the pants work. From ppl`s diff rent comments I know that hot vinegar and freezing them is the best way. I havent really tested the boiling water but I promise I will and the post about it.!

Using Ice on your jeans works great. I put an ice cube on the gum stuck on my jeans for 20 min and it came off very easily. Try it! No chemicals, just ice!

I have heard that ice or a ice cube will do the trick and use a tooth brush and as long as it is cold from the ice it will roll right off, have not tried it, have not had a problem with gum yet......the best to you

Place the jeans in the freezer for at least 1 hour. The frozen gum should peel right off. Rub dish soap into any residual stain with a soft clean cloth and launder as usual.

•2
Heat 1 cup of vinegar in the microwave until it is hot. Dip a toothbrush in the vinegar and scrub the gum off of the jeans before laundering.

•3
Dip a soft clean cloth in nail polish remover and wipe the gum off the jeans with the cloth before laundering.

•4
Pour boiling water onto the gum and wipe it away with a clean cloth. If some areas are more difficult to remove, use a toothbrush to help with scrubbing. Launder the jeans as usual once all of the gum is removed.

•5
Crack an egg into a bowl and separate the yolk and discard it. Dip a toothbrush into the egg white and scrub the gum gently. Let the egg white sit on the stain for 15 minutes and launder as usual.

HOPE THIS HELPS...

Removing gum from clothes can turn out to be a tricky business. There are many ways of doing it but depending on the nature of the fabric. For instance a knife cannot be used on a silk dress but is handy for jeans. Today there are several gum removers in the market and they contain several chemicals that help to remove gum while citrus or citric acid is generally used as natural sources to remove gum. It is advisable to test the stain removing things on a safe place before using it on the actual fabric to be cleaned.

A common way of removing gum from jeans is to harden the gum with the help of ice cubes. This exercise would take around 10 to 15 minutes. The gum can be scraped off manually once that the gum is frozen or hardened. Take care to ensure that the jeans don't get spoilt or torn. It can be laundered in the usual manner after this process.

My son sat in gum on the bus so I looked on the web and found warm vinegar was good for removing gum from clothes. Was skeptical but heated up a little bit of vinegar (I had apple cider vinegar) for about 30 seconds in the microwave and then used a toothbrush to lightly scrub off. I was amazed, it seemed really ground in but came off in a minute.

Put the jeans in the freezer. When the gum has frozen it is a lot easier to get off.
