Well I hope you like the following idea

You can divide this long wall using only paint, tape and 3 balancing wall colors. Let's start by deciding the colors; I will use a yellowish tan, a deep pumpkin and a coffee brown as the 3 paint colors but you can use any 3 colors according to your liking and disliking; tape off a border 5 to 7 inches large on all 4 sides of the wall. After that, find the point on the wall from where you want to divide the living room from the dining room and tape off the equal size border from top to bottom. Paint this 5 to 7 inches wide border with the coffee brown color. You must frame out the whole length and width of the wall and add a line to partition the wall. Paint one half of the unpainted, framed wall with the yellowish tan color and the other half with the deep pumpkin color. After this you will see that the wall is divided into two halves in different, but with balancing colors.

Have
fun and enjoy blurting :)
