The 1st number should be greater than the 2nd or last. The first is for nitrogen>>makes your grass green. 2nd number is for the root growth, and the 3rd is for disease resistance. So, if your overseeding your lawn, what number should be greater??? If the bag has a measurement like 12-23-12, your right!!! The middle one is for the roots !!! Hope this helped!!!
