I remove the blade inside the comb and dispose of it. I then put in 1part bleach, 9 parts water and soak it for about an hour. Clean it after wards with hot soapy water with a stiff bristle brush until clean and rinse. As a cosmetologists, we are required to soak them in a sterile solution also. I use Barberside.
