You need to hire someone, usually a landscape company that has experience, and have them install a French drain around your home where the trouble is and divert the water away from your home. They dig a trench and put a diversion (French drain) drain inside the ground 12-18 (usually) inches deep and 24 inches wide, and then cover it with ornamental rock of some type that are pieces the size of half your hand palm and smaller. That way the water goes into that trench (instead of rolling on the land into your home) and then is guided away from your home from the French drain that's installed under the rock. A good landscape company can even dig one around your whole home if need be and make it look decorative and be functional as well. Reason I know this is because our family business is architectural landscape. PS-there are French drains that are put under your lawn and doesn't use as big a trench or rock, but those French drains are for soggy lawns-for water that goes into a home, you will need a more drastic approach such as the ornamental rock/trench drain approach.
