Eking septic tanks are usually concrete and the intake pipe is usually made of white plastic. It comes into the side of the tank and has a open t shape. The floating matter is usually frothy and crusty looking if the tank is healthy. Then opposite the wall with the intake pipe you have what are called lateral lines or out take tubes.
