Start off by finishing all the layers to approximately half inch longer than your actual finished length. Try to make the lining half inch smaller than the face fabric, and the interlining approximately one inch shorter than the face fabric. Now surge all the layers collectively at the top, now pleat them all together. It is recommended that you keep pleats 2 ½ times fuller. After that apply half an inch seam allowance to stitch the decking, so that the layers act as one.
