Well it is a small stiff saw used in carpentry I have one but use it occasionally these days.
It only cuts on the back stroke so I will say don't use much pressure on the forward stroke as not cutting and try to cut smooth and straight but not heavy as accuracy is what is required while pulling back on the cutting stroke.
