It will actually burn your clothing. After you wash it you will develop holes where the fluid was in contact with the clothes. If you wash it right away, you might be able to save it. Hope this helps.

It will not come out of clothing- I recently had a spill and washed my clothes three times and the smell still remained- sorry!
Lighter fluid will make your clothes stink and if you then hold it close to a flame, it will make your clothes burn.
