Like most trees, apple trees bloom throughout spring and summer, although this will depend on the type of apple tree you've planted.

Apple trees usually fall into one of three categories: Early, mid-season and late.

Early-Blooming Apple Trees (Late Spring And Early Summer)
  • Pristine
  • Red Delicious
  • Gala
  • Granny Smith
Mid-Blooming Apple Trees (Mid-Summer)
  • Fuji
  • Braeburn
  • Golden Delicious
Late-Blooming Apple Trees (Mid- To Late Summer)
  • Rome Beauty
  • Enterprise
  • Arkansas Black

When an apple tree blooms depends on what variety you have planted, as there are many species, and they all bloom at different times of the year. The most common ones bloom in the early summer.

I live on the north Carolina/Virginia border and have Granny Smith, Gala and Fuji and no sign of blossoms just a lot of growth.

Depends on where you live and what type of tree it is.  Where I live, apple trees bloom in spring.
