Theoretically, a 12in x 12in tile is 1 sq ft. The area of a 10ft x 13ft room= 130 sq ft. So it would take 130 tiles to do the room. Practically, you have to cut some tiles, some will crack and you may want to break up the pattern of a tile containing wavy designs. Most tilers then add 10% to the number of tiles. The number of tiles now become 130 + 10%= 130+13 or 146 tiles. Buy a box ( or boxes) that contains close to 146 tiles WITHOUT GOING UNDER 146.
