Having Sage Green Walls In My Living Room. I Would Like To Lighten It Up By Wall Sponge Painting, What Color?

I would probably go two or three shades lighter staying in the same sage green family, or use a cream and water it down so that the original sage color shows through.

i agree- you need to stay in the same color tones- using a paler sage or pale cream- it will give the walls a subtle marbled affect. then to go with the orance ryto find orange accents with cream or sage . even pale blue- since sage has a brownish-gray undertone to it. grab some paint chips and compare before buying items to see if everything is compatible. have fun- wish I were there to help. took a home interior decor class in high school and my next door neighbor was aninterior decorator- learned lots from her,and from HGTV!

When choosing colors, you need to consider the color scheme of the room, the color of the floor should be appropriate in the design of the room.
