Changing the lock of your house mailbox is very easy. Some people usually change the whole mailbox instead of going through all the trouble of changing the lock. The main advantage of changing just the lock is that you do not have to spend a lot of money on the mailbox and the lock is available at all hardware stores and it is very cheap. In order to change the lock you will just require the new lock and a screwdriver. Remove the old lock from the mailbox using a screwdriver and removing all the screws. There will be just two to three screws which will be taken off in no time.
Take out the new lock and place it on the mailbox exactly where the old one was. Install the screws and your new lock is ready to use. Attach the mailbox to its place and check whether the new lock works properly or not.
