Ask the manufacturer. Water conservationists say on average it takes about 41 gallons per load of wash. That may or may not be the answer you want. A top-fill clothes washer fills at least twice, once to wash, and once to rinse unless it has a setting for an extra rinse. If what you want to know is the volume it uses to wash, not the total volume per load (which includes the rinse cycle(s)), then say so.
What an troll. He DID say so. His question specifically asked how many gallons his washing machine holds. He said absolutely nothing about gallons per wash. If want to answer a different question than the one asked, then say so.
BTW, the answer depends on load size (small, medium, large) and would average about 10 gallons. It would hold more if you stuck a hose in the washer and filled it to the brim, but I assume you are asking how many gallons does it hold when it is in one of its wash cycles.
