Yes. In winter of 2008 I went to visit my son in Orlando Fl. And I find out that their neighbor has a coconut tree in front of their house. Back in my country where I grew up we have lots of coconut tree and I wanted to have one here in Texas but the question, can coconut tree will grow in Texas? I don't know, but I went to buy two coconut tree in Orlando and bring them to Texas.
Then I planted them on the ground in spring 2009 in front of my house here in Texas to my surprise they are growing so good. The trunk is becoming to get bigger. And I believe that they will grow like the regular palm its because they are in the same family of trees.

So what happened to your Texas coconut?  What part of Texas?  I live in Dallas and I just purchased a dwarf coconut.  Any suggestion? Thanks.
