How Do I Troubleshoot Kenmore Refrigerator Ice Maker Issue?

My ice maker quit making ice, but still dispenses water from door and the ice maker is on what is the problem!

Our ice maker quit making ice a couple weeks past. We put in a new water filter as the manual said and we still can't get ice maker to work. We checked to see if any ice was stuck in the maker but found none. We are wondering if when we took the front off the maker we might of mess up the controls.

My ice maker is making ice ok. But is not turning inside the dispenser the ice milts together and the arm will not turn inside the basket if I break the ice inside the  basket it will work for about 2-3hr.

We moved our fridge from one house to another and now the ice maker does not work.It gives us good cool water but does not make ice.HELP!!!! Also how often are you suppose to change the water filter.I do not have the book anymore to go by for all this stuff.The filter was changed in March,Could that have anything todo with it not making ice?Again I beg for HELP!!!!!!

The line froze up. Shut off or unplug your refrigerator for about 6 hours or more and let it completely thaw out.  The water should flow into the ice maker again.

I have a side by side kenmore frig with the ice and water dispenser on the outside, the water paddle broke so I ordered a new one and replace it (no problem) no when you push the water paddle it dispense water but also I hear it crushing ice....whats up?

I have a kenmore top freezer fridge with inside water dispenser. Water comes into icemaker in freezer but not out the water dispenser in the fridge.

The ice-maker is controlled by a timer and solenoid water supply valve. My ice-maker has failed 3 times. The first time the timer assembly went bad. I replaced it and everything worked fine four a couple of years. Then no ice again. I looked around and found that no water was going to the ice maker. I found out that the solenoid valve wasn't working any longer. I switched things so that the solenoid that feed water to the door (we haven't use this since my kids became teenagers) became the solenoid for the ice maker and everything was good again for another year. Now the door dispenser isn't turning on when you press the switch at the door. If any of you have an idea as to how to access the door switch let me know.

The kenmore refrigerator leaked inside from the freezer down. Had that repaired but the ice maker has not worked since. Replaced the filter on the back of the refrigerator - seems like water in not going into the back of the freezer from the water tube.

Side by side fridge/freezer from Amana with ice dispenser in the door. It makes ice but does not dispense it through the door - there is nothing stuck, already emptied the whole bin and cleared ice from everywhere. I can hear the engine working but no ice comes out - any idea what can be wrong?

I have had so many problems with my Kenmore fridge it's not even funny. The ice maker stopped working a long time ago and I'm only getting around to trying to fix it now. I just ordered a new water inlet valve from here www.partselect.ca/PS733408-Whirlpool-4389177-Water-Inlet-Val about an hour ago, so now I'm just waiting for it to arrive. I also purchased a water filter from them and they had a video on how to change it too, I don't have the link but I the site was www.partselect.com .

Has anyone else replaced the water inlet valve and solved their problem?

I can't understand how Kenmore still gets away with selling a product that will not work correctly, If the door water and ice maker is a problem and has been from the day we got it home from Sears. The trap door which keeps the cold air in has never worked correctly causing the Ice to become one big peice of ice. Plus is leaks out due to the fact warm air gets in. How will they fix this as I was trying to find out why I found a lot of people with the same problem.
