My Kenmore Washing Machine will not agitate or the tub will not spin...
My Kenmore Series 80 model #11023812100 washed a load perfectly, in goes the next load, w/detergent, it fills with water and sits there. Nothing, zilch, the dial didn't even move and just to let you know, yes the lid was down. Any suggestions would help. Money is tight right now.
When I fill my 1999 3 speed Kenmore washing machine the water comes out the bottom. All the hoses are intact. What else can I check?

Water comes out the bottom during water going in the tub & spin cycle
Hello.
I don't know what the loud noise is, but to remove the back cover you have to remove the control assembly. Just for liabilty problems, please unplug the power cord to the washer. Remove the two screws at the top back corners of the control assembly. Then remove the screws on the bottom front corners and pull the assembly towards the front of the machine to disengage the bottom attachment tabs. You can now lift the control unit and move it several inches forward from the back (limited by cables from the rest of the machine). There are two mechanical latches on each side of the back cover on the top of the machine. Just lift the front of those latches and the top of the back cover is loose. There are three screws at the bottom of the back cover which need to be removed to free the cover. There are several items that will have to be disconnected if you want to completely remove the cover. The loud noise may be a bad coupling on the motor. There are two of them, one for the pump and one for the tub (agitation, spin). I suggest you just lay the machine on its front to check the motor or any of the connectors or parts associated with the motor. The water solenoids and controls are connected to the back cover by various means.
Hope this helps.

Kenmore 80 spin cycle starts slow and by the time it gets to speed the cycle is over and clothes are wet
I have rust coming from around the top of my Kenmore and getting into the clothes, how to remove the upper lid or top off to remove the rusty portion of the unit
Does it have a warranty? If so call the company. I would call them anyways, maybe they can help give you some advice over the phone. Maybe you have a friend or neighbor who may know more who can help you out. I would also find the owners manual and that should tell you how to get into things, show you where things are located. If you don't have one, try online maybe you can find something there. Good luck.
