My washer makes a loud banging noise when agitating, what could be the cause?

That happens to mine if I overload it or if I put in a large, unbalanced load. Just take a little more care with how you put in your washing.

Out of balance. Try not putting as much clothes in. If that doesn't work you may have a broken support.

It could be that all of the clothes have moved to one side of the washer causing the one heavy side to bang against the wall of the washing machine when it spins. If it starts making the noise open it and make sure that the items are evenly distributed in the washer. This usually happens when there are too many or too little amounts of laundry inside.

Sounds like agitator may be broken and needs replacing
