Will My Hibiscus Tree Survive Ok In The House During The Winter? I Live In Illinois And We Get Ice Lately And I Hope To Be Able To Put It Back Out Next Summer.

I have 4 hibiscus trees in Missouri...I bring it in during winter placing it in front of a window and keep it watered as the heat tends to dry it out quickly, and this may sound strange but in lieu of fertilizer I use pickle juice...yes, pickle juice!  I do the same for my hibiscus at my home in Florida.  Hibiscus love the acidity in the juice.  The tree will lose all of its leaves and will look dead but come spring it has leaves and before long blooms!  Good luck neighbor!
