You may have something stuck in the pump... My friends has one and a baby sock got stuck in the pump assembly binding the gears, that pump also controls the spin... It ruined the motor bushing too.. Disconnect the hose at the bottom of the washer on both sides of the pump and look in there, it is possible it is the same problem
My Roper Washer Just Stopped Working And The Drum Is Full With Water And Cloths Could It Be The Lid Switch And How Do I Lift The Top Of The Washer To Replace It?
I had the same problem. It was a baby sock stuck in the pump, which in turn wouldn't let the motor run. I have a direct drive motor with a shaft on each side, one for the transmission and the other side for the pump. You wouldn't think anything could be sucked through the small drain holes in the tub, but it did. Mine was a 5 minute fix and only required a pair of pliers for the spring loaded hose clamps.
Put a knife in the slot and see if it helps it to go
if not it may be your belt
if not it may be your belt
Unplug it and then take a flat head screwdriver to pry each side of the front up and lift slowly......switch can be bypassed by disconnecting the button and reconnect the wires and then plug it in......make sure to push in dial to stop position before plugging in.....
