There is a controller in every central heating system and you just need to switch it off to switch off your central heating off. The method I have described can be applied in normal circumstances but some times it happens that even if you switch off the controller, you find that the central heating is working or some components of it are working. If that is the situation that you come across, you should check the radiators as it is these components that can make them switch on even after you have switched it off in the normal circumstances.
Even after switching off the radiators you find that it is heating then you should also check the thermostat to find if it has some problem. Other than these things, you can not do much and if the problem persists, you should contact an electrician.
