How To Make Black Paint?

Black paint is made like other colors, a pigment and a carrier.  In this case, black pigment is used to make the paint.  One common pigment is carbon black, which essentially soot.  You can't get true black by mixing other colors, as they have white in it to brighten them.  You can't take white out of paint once it's mixed in.
