Leather responds well to mild soapy water. Wipe dry with a clean cloth and the leather will shine like new. I gently wash my two leather sofas at least once a month and they look fantastic.. Leather can dry out and crack especially in the winter when the heating unit is on. Leather needs some moisture occasionally. It may take more than one try to remove something really gooey.
