Will A Magnolia Tree Grow In Northern Climates? Like South East Michigan?

Normally Magnolia trees love the warmth and moisture of the deep south and they grow wild in a lot of the southern states...I would suggest you contact your local nursery and ask about a dwarf Magnolia called "Little Gem."  It grows to approximately 25' to30' down South but it might be your best choice for up North...Good Luck, also, they bloom just like their giant cousins, just a bit smaller flower.
