Two methods depending on source of power:
If a source is near where you want to put switch, run 110v to switchbox. Neutral will pass thru, while hot goes to one switch screw. Another wire goes to other switch screw and with neutral and ground goes to light.
If source is near new light location, run 110v to light junction box. Hook neutral and ground to light.
Run a 2 conductor cable from light to switch. At light connect black to black with wire nut (do this as the very last step to avoid working hot circuit-make sure power is still off before this step). At switch, connect black to one switch screw and white to other switch screw.
