There are shelves upon shelves of cleaning products that you can buy in most supermarkets which will help you get rid of those pesky yellow stains in your toilet bowl.

However, in my opinion, the best solution is the simplest: Vinegar.

How to get rid of toilet bowl stains
People often resort to bleach or other heavily-abrasive chemicals to get stains off their toilet bowls.
Whilst I'm not saying they don't work perfectly well (in most cases), I prefer the more natural solution provided by vinegar.

'Stain today, gone tomorrow' is the name of the game, and here are the things you'll need:

  • Vinegar
  • Spray bottle
  • Toilet brush
Simply place three cups of vinegar into your empty spray bottle, and squirt the liquid onto the offending stains.

Allow it to sit for an hour or so, and then scrub away with a toilet brush. Once you've got the stains off, simply flush your toilet!

Another suggestion is to use half an orange as a sponge. Scrubbing away at the stains usually does the trick - presumably because the acid of an orange works in the same way as vinegar does.

Try Greased Lightning or try Oranges.

Just use the orange as if it's a sponge. Work away at it and the acid works as a hard cleaner. Works like a DREAM.

Then after we are done scrubbing with orange, we pour hydrogen peroxide into the bowl, and continue scrubbing.
