One way is to put warm or hot water on it,  let it sit for a couple of minutes, then using a razor scraper at a 45 degree angle, scrape it off.
Make sure you have a sharp blade in the razor.
We bought a glass top stove which had a razor scraper with it and instructions on how to remove burnt on items, but I used this method with our ceramic stove before we got the glass top one.

I have the same problem... My fleece sleeve burned on my black ceramic stove top... I didn't try a razor yet, but will get one, thanks! I also read that if you spray oven cleaner on it and turn it on for a minute then turn it off it will come off (have to get some of that to try too!) GOOD LUCK! My stove is quite new and I hope it's not ruined!

Oven cleaner / Grease cleaners work well. Just spray some on top and let it sit for 10 - 20 minutes. Then wipe and it should come off nicely.

Just read the manual and make sure the cleaner is not damaging to ceramic. I don't it will be, but make sure.
