I have to assume you want to create a double duplex outlet (4 plugins)  at the location of an existing duplex outlet (2 plugins).

Big home stores and others sell converters you can plug in which change the outlet from duplex ( 2 plugs) to 4 or more outlets.  BUT I DON'T KNOW THE CONDITION OF YOUR WIRING AND THIS PRODUCT COULD CAUSE AN OVERLOAD, AS COULD THE METHOD DESCRIBED BELOW.  DO NOT CHANGE THE SIZE OF BREAKERS OR FUSES UNLESS OKAYED BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.

You need to remove the existing outlet (After turning off power) and the box the outlet is mounted in, then install a new box that is set up for two devices (switches or outlets).  They have boxes that have "ears" that are used in existing work, the ears help tighten the box in the wall.  Or if the old box was mounted on a stud you may be able to attach the new box to the stud.

Attach the original wire to the appropriate screws on one new or reused outlet and run wires from the second set of screws on the first outlet, to the proper screws on the second outlet.
