Don't know why you would want to paint a granite counter, but it is possible.
You would have to roughen the surface by sanding it. You would have to spray an acrylic based primer, then spray on an acrylic paint, let it cure for at least 24 hours, then spray a sealer over top of the paint. It's a lot of work and still, there are no guarantees that it would remain in good shape through normal use. You would end up with scratches and the sealer would probably begin to yellow after a year or so.
If you are wanting to paint it because of scratches, would suggest that you sand down the scratches, then use a professional polish, (which you can purchase at most home supply stores, then buff it back up to a nice shine with an electric polisher.
