I see your challenge. The sage paint is not in harmony with the fall colors of bordeaux and cinnamon. You may choose a black granite backsplash if you want sage to be your statement color for the kitchen. Neutral or earth toned backsplashes are not recommended because it would be a lot of home remodeling with little effect. It would not look like you did anything new.
