There a number of places that you can get a slipcover for a Lazy Boy double recliner including direct from the manufacturer and eBay. Searching online is a great way to find anything you want and makes comparing prices a piece of cake: Much better than going from store to store!
Buying your slip cover is the easy part, it’s fitting it that could cause you problems, and in fact is one of the reasons why many people refuse to buy a slip cover for a recliner. There is, though, an easy way of doing it.
First of all, lay the pieces out onto the floor or a table so that you can identify them. The first piece to be put on is the back, stretch it and pull it over the back of the recliner, and pull down. Make sure that the corners are lined up and that it is straight. Any excess fabric can be tucked into the back of the seat.
Next, place each arm cover onto your Lazy Boy, not forgetting to pull the reclining handles through the openings in the fabric. Some slip covers come with pockets to hold remote controls; if yours does make sure that they are in the right places.
For the next piece, start with the foot rest and wrap the elastic around the bottom edge, then pull it up and stretch it up and over the recliner’s seat. Excess fabric can be tucked into the back and sides of the seat cushions.
Once all of the pieces have been fitted properly, you will need to turn your recliner over. Secure the loops on the bottom of the back and arm covers onto the bottom of your Lazy Boy so that they will not slip when anyone sits on it, and there you have it!
