I have a distressed leather over sized chair.the color has lightened and I would like to repair or enhance the once rich brown that was the initial color of this chair. I did try shoe polish but that eventually faded away and I was also concerned about the polish getting on my clothing while I sat in the chair...how can I restore this chair back to its normal color
"Head to an antique store... Generally upscale antique stores have all
sorts of cleaners & enhancers etc for wood, leather, marble etc...
Go that route as you don't want to mess up the leather" DIY projects like this can often turn out worse that they started, though, so try to find a leather repair pro like a local home depot might have a specialist who can help.
