Hey, this is a year old!!  Well, I'm going to answer anyway.  You can get crushed fossil shell at your health food store and use a flour sifter to put it on your mattress and pad and carpet or whatever they can hide in.  It will cause instant death!!  You can leave this around until the eggs are all dead too.  You can feed it to the animals and put it around the house.  You also can use cedar oil on non-stainable surfaces and you can put it directly on your pets.

To get rid of fleas you can't just spot treat you have to treat everything. That being said go get some 7-dust it is a pesticide usually found in the home and garden area of most stores. My mom always used the powder, but it comes in liquid as well... Put it along the baseboards, up the vacuum cleaner, and under furniture.
