Try the new Mr. Clean magic eraser. They work incredibly well at fading marks made by a variety of things. They are also very soft on the surface and won't cause abrasions. Vim is another product that when used gently can make a great difference on dark markings. Dab a little on the spot, let it sit and then scrub gently with a soft rag.
