Just something to think about, though:
Your charcoal carpet is a 'cool' color' that is, has no warmth, while the couch and loveseat, cream, are a 'warm' color...so if you use the cherry items, they will tend to 'tilt' your color scheme to warm, which is not a bad thing, but the charcoal carpeting will now stand out even more in contrast to the furniture pieces!!
Sorry, guess I tend to over think these things...there is nothing wrong with the color scheme you are suggesting, just wanted you to realize that, if you put it all together and the carpet seems to stand out a little, that's why; warm furniture against the cool tones of the carpet...
